Donald G Adam

My father died this morning at about 2 AM. I was able to spend an hour with him after we arrived in Pittsburgh yesterday evening.

My family and I have been very deeply touched by your prayers and your expressions of sympathy. God bless us, every one.

  1. Akma,

I’m away at CREDO and just now checked your blog. Know that you, Margaret and Pippa are in my prayers. Your father’s legacy as embodied in you and the family is truly beautiful. May God comfort you now and always.

  2. AKMA,

I thought of Donald and your family this morning at Matins as we sang “As winter comes, as winters must, we breathe our last, return to dust; still held in Christ, our souls take wing and trust the promise of the spring.” [Wonder, Love, and Praise 765, stanza 4] As I write this, I think of another text that has come to mean a lot to me, Shirley Erena Murray’s “Give thanks for life.” [WLP 775]
My condolences to you and to your family.
