The mysterious roof hadn’t travelled as far as we had figured. It came only from next door, from a flat portion at the peak of the roof that one can’t see from ground level. I hope David’s family’s stuff stored in the attic, and Heather’s stuff in the bedroom (she’ house-sitting this year) wasn’t ruined.

We found out that it was the Hittner-Cunningham's house last night from Jerry Prechtel-Myers. From his bedroom view, he was able to see where the roofing had come off. I haven't heard yet if there was water damage inside.
Posted by: Frank at May 12, 2003 04:12 PMSusie and I have verified that all contents of the first and second floors are in good shape, no sign of water damage. We poked a camera up into the attic, and didn't see any signs of damage but had a limited view. The attic did feel very damp, however.
