Some readers who ought to have something better to do with their time may remember that last spring, when Ben and Mena Trott visited Seabury, I served as a medium for the inquiring spirit of Liz Lawley — a sort of animated Joi Ito-hecklebot avant la lettre — when she asked whether Moveable Type might develop in a courseware-ish direction. Now, being a vigorous no-nonsense technologist, she has taken matters into her own hands and is demonstrating ways to use MT as the main vehicle for one of her fall-semester courses. I don’have time to check it all out this morning — I’m already way behind on my day, and I’ supposed to be helping Margaret do laundry for the choir — but I can’t wait to learn from Liz how it’s done. (My course begins several weeks after Liz’s, so I’ll be set.)
