Congratulations today to Nathan Weinberger, to takes on the yoke of the Torah; to Heather, who was ordained to the diaconate on Thursday; to Mark, Fran, Lisa, Carolyn, George, Kara — anyone else? I don’t remember — who are being ordained to the priesthood today.

Heather's was more generic, since she was one of two ordained to the diaconate, and Mark's was more personal, but they were both very special.
I have to admit though, that when we drove up to the cathedral of Western Michigan I fully expected to see the Monty Python troupe and several flying rabbits.

Susie S. was the Litanist and did a wonderful job --- Monique Ellison vested for the service. Bishop Gibbs has a lovely singing voice --- all in all the service was delightful.
