I’m saddened that a well-respected, genial blogger such as Gary Turner would resort to bluster and threats (in the comments to yesterday’s post) to preserve his ossified, outdated BLX 1.0 standard, when I (and a number of other forward-thinking writers) want nothing more than a coherent, flexible, interoperable core that will enable a fresh generation of web-based BLX content.
Gary, give it up. Just because you participated in dreaming up the idea of a standard in this area, you think you control it forever. Permit the web to do what it does best: allow ever-more refined
to grow from the fertilizer of your imagination.
