I told an IM friend of mine this morning that I'd posted a birthday joke to my blog. He already knew my age. "Something to do with binary?" he enquired.

"You know me SO well," I answered.

"No, I know binary that well!"

In the end, I didn’t need my fingers (that’s the only way I can count in binary), but just needed carefully top count the 0’, which initially appeared more numerous than turns out to be the case. I knew you weren’t 64!

There are 10 different kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who do not.

For Dorothea's age I looked at the leading one and trailing zeroes and inferred 32 without using my fingers either, because - like AKMA - I knew she wasn't yet 64.
