Perspective

I’m feeling a little quiet , just now, as news came through last night that friends from church have apparently been murdered.

What a challenge to an already stretched community! However, apparently, they weren't only active in your parish. Bishop Persell is quoted in the New York Times Story.

I think Michael had been on the Standing commitee.

I sit in quiet with you, my friend.

Peace, sir.

God's peace for you and your parish, AKMA.

We will be in prayer with you, and ask you to be in prayer for us as well. The Lefkows are our neighbors. We are opening North Shore tonight as a safe space for the neighbors and friends to be together in quiet and mutual support. The media have gotten wind of it in spite of our best efforts. We are still hoping to provide a safe and "private" space. Please pray for us.

Silly me. I glibly replied to your latest entry without thinking that there might be a reason you would be reflecting on grieving.

God's peace to you and your parish, and for those who died.

Grace and peace, AKMA, to you and the families.
