Just as I’m beginning to feel better, as my coughs become productive toward clearing my chest, and my head is less congested, as I can sleep through the night (pretty much), Margaret has fallen ill to the contagion I had been spreading around the household for half a week. WE’re hacking away, feeling worse or better, but fully sympathetic each to the other.
I haven’t run in ages. It’s difficult to imagine when I next will run, though I fully expect that Monday or Tuesday I’ll feel healthy enough to give at least a gentle run. Last night I slept almost seven hours, which is great for me even in full health. Apple’s ‘Sleep’ measurement docked me because I woke up several times, presumably when I was coughing, but I don’t remember any sleeplessness. Still, I get drowsy way early
I’ve been preparing for tomorrow’s sermon for St Nic’s 8:00 and St Helen’s 10:30. I used an idea I preached with twenty-one years ago, but the lectionary has changed since then (which threw a spanner in the turning point of the sermon), but I’ve reworked it thoroughly, so even if Past You were there, and even if Past You has filled Present You in on all the details, you probably won’t remember what Past You heard when you listen to Present AKMA.
But I still need to cash up on sleep.
