My visa application has been denied, certainly delaying my trip to Scotland significantly. I don’t think I can learn what went wrong till my materials get back from the embassy, via UPS tomorrow. It could easily be a small detail that I missed — but I’m irked that the process is so cumbersome, when I have a new flat to move into, new work to do, just waiting for me over there.
Bad luck, AKMA. It is indeed a tiresome and cumbersome business. It was several months before I was able to get over to the US in 2005, and life has to go on hold while one waits. 🙁
I am sorry. That is the challenge of visa processing: you are always at the mercy of whoever is reading and interpreting your documents. One always has to hope that they read them favorably and correctly.
I pray that the situation gets resolved soon. I have been there, so I empathize with you.
