This phrase really made me think. The Jesuit institution I teach at just informed me that the only position in the offer for next year is an adjunct one where I’ll be teaching the same load for 1/2 the money. How do you fight this kind of exploitation? Can you? Spirited stands that leave you without a job and penniless somehow seem pointless, but staying seems like condoning exploitation.
And this from a place that prides itself on its socially progressive mores.
And there’s the rub, huh?
Does this apply to redecorating?

Since I grew up in what was called “The Master’s House” at Davenport College, Yale U. this message was enough to make me stop and take notice!
